What is South Texas Comic Con?
South Texas Comic Con is a pop culture celebration in McAllen, Tx, founded in 2014, where fans of comic books, fantasy, sci-fi, gaming and other genres can gather to meet artists, actors, writers and fellow fans. Attendees can enjoy autograph sessions, photo ops and Q&A panels with celebrities, watch our cosplay contests, attend workshops and panels by local creators on our Creator Stage, play in our video and card gaming tournaments, shop the Artist Alley and Vendor Market, play in The Kidz Zone and so much more.
Tickets and Wristbands
What does my ticket include?
Your ticket grants you admission to the event, and gives you access to all Main Stage events like celebrity Q&A panels and cosplay contests, Creator Stage panels and events, our expansive vendor market and artist alley featuring vendors and artists from all over the United States, our Kidz Zone with crafts and activities like laser tag, our Game Arena with console games, tournaments and arcades, and after parties featuring musical performances. Celebrity autographs & photos are not included with your admission ticket and can be purchased separately at the celebrity guests's booth or the professional photo op booth.
What is your refund policy?
South Texas Comic Con has a no-refund policy. If you cannot attend the event you are welcome to make other arrangements like selling your ticket or giving it away. Please note that our celebrity guest lineup is subject to change.Tickets will not be refunded due to a guest cancellation. If you're interested in attending the event only for one or a few specific guests, we recommend purchasing tickets at the door to ensure the best experience.
I have a VIP Pass with the Early Access, VIP Fast Lane and Priority Panel Seating perks. Can my child accompany me?
Yes, up to 2 children ages 12 and under can enter the event early with you and join you in the autograph line or VIP seating area for panels. Children ages 6 – 12 will need a child's ticket to enter the event. Children 5 years old and younger do not need a ticket. Any attendees over the age of 12 will need to have their own VIP Pass in order to qualify for VIP Perks.
Can I purchase tickets in person?

Do you offer student discounts?
South Texas Comic Con is happy to offer group discounts for for public and private schools (Elementary – High School). Please contact us for more information.
Do you offer military discounts?
Yes, we offer discounts to active duty service members, retirees, veterans, reserve and National Guard members. The military discount is only available at the door, and is 15% off pre-sale prices. Please present a valid military ID card (ex: Military ID card, VA Issued Identification Card, Veterans Designation on Drivers License, Other ID or Membership Card such as the VFW, American Legion, AMVETS, etc.)
Can I remove my wristband and come back to the event?
Please do not remove your wristband if you plan on returning to the event later in the day or the following day. You will not be permitted to re-enter without your wristband.

Are the celebrity guests guaranteed to appear at the event?
All guests that have been officially announced by us have committed to attend the event, however, all celebrity guests have the right to cancel their appearance if certain circumstances require it, such as work or health related reasons. If a guest cancels their appearance it will immediately be announced on our website and social media pages. Please be aware that tickets will not be refunded due to a guest cancellation. If you're interested in attending the event only for one or a few specific guests, we recommend purchasing tickets at the door to ensure the best experience
Do I need a special pass to meet the celebrity guests?
You do not need a special pass to meet a celebrity guest. General admission tickets will be grant your admission to the event, and access to our Autograph Area where you can purchase autographs, selfies and photo ops with the celebrity guests. VIP ticket holders will be granted priority in lines for autographs and panels.
How do I get autographs from the celebrity guests?
Autographs and selfies can be purchased on site only. If you would like to purchase an autograph or selfie from a celebrity guest you can find their booth in the Autograph Area. There you will wait in line to purchase your autograph or selfie. Event staff will be there to guide you and answer any questions you might have.
Can I bring my own items to be autographed?
Yes, you can. Please be aware there may be an additional fee for personal items. See this page for autograph and photo pricing details.
Are there any policies that must be followed in the Autograph Area?
Please be aware that you may be asked not to photograph celebrities from a distance, as it is generally not allowed. You may take photos (but not record) during the Q&A Panels. To keep aisles and walkways clear in the Autograph Area you may be asked not to crowd around celebrity guest booths.
